Industrial Printing & Painting

SURFACE PLASMA TREATMENT REVOLUTIONIZED THE INDUSTRIAL PRINTING AND DECORATION DIVISION, IMPROVING THE ADHESION OF THE INK ON ANY SURFACE.

The effectiveness of plasma application is revealed above all in difficult contexts such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA) and polycarbonate (PC). These are usually difficult materials for the adhesion of inks however, after the Plasma Treatment, these surfaces are "wettable" in a very short time and therefore also the solvent-free inks show to obtain an exceptional level of adhesion during the printing processes.
It is important to highlight that the Plasma process is "cold" and therefore the materials sensitive to thermal variations find easy application to this type of treatment. Batch Plasma Treatment has proved to be very interesting for surface activation operations where present structures that make up three-dimensional shapes, even complex ones, both of plastic materials, metals, glass or ceramics.
The Plasma Treatment applied on structures of polymers and composite materials allows superior painting finishes and a significant improvement in the adhesion of paints and inks.
Low pressure treatments, as well as Atmospheric Plasma systems, can be installed both in single structures which in line structure. Plasma Treatment certainly avoid the need for tedious mechanical abrasions, use of priming chemical substances and preparation for adhesion.
In the digital printing industry our plasma systems are installed in line allowing a continuous flow of production thus optimizing times and procedures.
We have developed many plasma solutions to improve the adhesion of paint from small bench-top units to solutions for painting and printing systems on an industrial scale with a very fast cycle.
GS-PLASMATECH offers surface tests for the comparison of parts treated before and after Plasma.
